The Southern Philippines is still largely misunderstood.

I know that we are already in the age of social media, but to a lot of people, my home island remains a war zone, a no man's land. To them, Mindaoans remain to be uncivilized, barbaric, and uneducated. Without denying that these social issues are true in certain areas, this blog was created to show to the world the face of Mindanao that is still largely unknown to many people.

In this blog, allow me to take to you to my experiences as a true-blooded Mindanaoan -- born and raised in the southernmost part of mainland Mindanao. 

Learn about the beautiful places you can visit, food that will entice your palate, people who will pique your interest, and cultures and traditions that you would certainly love to experience.
